A Call for Evidence has been issued relating to the use of Electric Pulse Training Aids (EPTAs or 'shock collars'). The Council is currently aiming to produce an independent report on the implications of the use of the aids in companion animals. Specific verifiable information is sought on direct experience of both the use of the devices and alternatives in order to identify both positve and negative experiences. The survey can be accessed on line at www.ecollar-survey.org.

 

The CAWC report on Welfare Assessment was launched in the House of Commons on 3rd February 2009.
